“This book was almost as good as the Deathly Hallows but wasn't as epic. One thing readers look for at the end of a good series is good secrets.
THIS NEXT PART CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFO:
Saying that Charlie's father was the red Knight was so gossipy. Which was really good for an OK series like this.”
“I think it is a very good and detailed book and recomended for all ages.”Wade S wrote this review Friday, November 5, 2010. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“In this book (Carlie Bone And The Red Knight) Charlie Bone is one of the children of the Red King (these children have endownments that are like special powers, other children are only talented in art, music, or drama), he has thick brown hair and brown eyes, he can travel into photographs and pictures, Charlie is also a desendent from a Welesh wizared, Mathonwy who was a close friend to the Red King, Charlie stole his wand from Skarpo, another wizared in a painting, and found out that it was ment for him, but when the wand was stolen and was going to be destroyed (wich cant happen) it turned into a moth and Charlie calls the moth Claerwen for snow-white. Charlie is in thmusic department with Billy and Fidelio Gunn (or Fiddo, hes a good friend to Charlie). Billy Raven can communicate with animals, Billy is an albino and has white hair and red eyes. TancredTorsson is a storm-bringer, depending on his attitued the weather about him can change, Tanc has bright yellow hair and blue or green eyes, he is in the art department with Sander and Em. Lysander Sage is a decendent from an Afracain wise man, he looks Afracain to, Sander can call up his spirit ancesstors, you can tell when he is because you will hear a rythmatic beating on a drum. Naren Bloor is a adopted daugter of Bartholomew Bloor, she can send shadow words over great distances. Emma Tolly can change into any kind of bird and fly, Em is usually seen with Liv or Tanc. Olivia Vertigo is an illusionist, she can create illusions. Liv is always seen wearing the most colorful and cazyest clothing. Liv is Ems best friend, she is in the drama department. Gabriel Silk can feel sceans and emotions through others clothing, he is probly in the music department (mabey the drama or art). Asa Pike helped Charlie and the others with the Red King and therefore a friend. Asa has orange hair and was in the drama department before he left the Bloors Acadamey forever, Asa could turn into a were-beast when it is dark. Dagbert Endless is a drowner and is kind of controlled by the moon like the ocean. Even though Charlie and his friends were haveing trouble with Dagbert in the past books (like almost drowned because of him) he turned out to be a good friend especially to Charlie, because he helped Dagbert protect his sea-gold charms and Sander helped destroy Dagberts father. Theres also Benjamin and his dog Runner Bean, Fiddo whos great with music, the Red Knight, the Red King, the white mare whos Queen Betricea, some friendly and endowned teachers at Bloors, and the parents, aunties, uncles, and godmothers of all the good children of the Red King help the endowned children do whats right. In this book Charlie and his friends are sent to many places starting with Bloors Acadamy, Pets Cafe, Piminy Street, Badlock, Darkly Wynd, the Ruins, the Book Store, the Hieghts, Charlies house, and the neighborhoods near these places. The exciting part(s) (for me) is when Em helps the real Liv become her normal self, and when Charlie rescuse Billy from Badlock, and when theres the final battle in the Hights the good endowned children and some of their adult friends against the evil Piminy Street people, the Bloors endownded children, Erics stone army, and Count Harkens army. Another exciting part is when Charlie and the others find out who the real Red Knight is (Lyle Bone). The story within this book is when Charlies father tells Charlie his side of the story and about the hidden box that contains the will and who it really belongs to. The theme for this book is Fight for what is right even though it takes big risks.
I rated this book a five star because it is about special children with endownments (powers). It is always mysterious and magical. It takes you to a place that is out of this one, it always has more than one risk in evrey book. Its a magical place for kids and others to find.”
