Yuuri is a typical middle school student. However, one day she is pulled into a puddle right in the middle of an enjoyable date. Yuuri wakes up to find herself in the ancient Hittite empire and finds out that the Powerful priestess-queen of the empire had summoned her across time in order to sacrifice her in a dark ritual. Yuuri was saved from this perilous situation by Prince Kail and hidden in his palace as a 'concubine'.

Yuuri learns that in order to return home she needs to satisfy three conditions: she must be wearing her original clothes, the seven springs of Hattusa must be full and she needs Kail's magical aid. Since her modern clothes were stuck in the Queen's palace Yuuri and her new friend Tito sneaks into the place at night only to find that it's a trap. Tito sacrifices himself to save Yuuri and she ends up safe in Kail's arms. But can they save Tito?

Glossary edit see section history

  • Teshub: the Hittite god of sky and storm. His name is derived from the Hittite word root *tarh, meaning to defeat or to conquer. Teshub is typically depicted as holding a triple thunderbolt and a weapon, usually a double-headed ax or mace. In Hittite mythology, Teshub is paired with Arinna, the sun goddess and one of his greatest acts was said to be the slaying of the dragon Illuyanka.
  • Katashiro: A physical object used as emblem of the presence of a spirit in rites of worship. The term also refers to an object representing the human figure (hitogata or nademono), used in rites of purification (misogi or harae) to represent the subject of the rite, in which case the subject rubs the object on his body or blows breath upon it, thus transferring transgressions and pollutions (tsumi and kegare) to the object, which is later cast into a river or another body of water. Katashiro were also used when casting spells or curses. Most katashiro seen today are made of paper, but in the past they were also made of gold, silver, iron, wood, rice straw or miscanthus reeds.
