“Heist society was an awesome book. I'd recommend it for ages 11-16. This book is about a girl named Katrina, but she prefers to be called Kat. She comes from family of great thieves. She has traveld many places for many cons. She con'd her way into a school only to get kicked out because she was framed. But, she was framed for a good reason. Her father has been accused by a very dangerous guy, Arturo Taccone, of stealing his paintings. Taccone wants his paintings back. Kat goes to find them and steal them back before her father gets even more caught up in this mess. Will Kat meet her deadline and get the paintings back? Read the book and find out.”

In the book Heist Society by Ally Carter, one of the world’s most talented teen thief Katerina Bishop, who is the main character, decided to pull the biggest heist her family has ever seen. Kat has helped her family with different heists and now she want to do one for herself She decides to steal a different life. Kat cons her way into a prestigious school called Cologan School and everything is just fine and she is enjoying her freedom from her family of thieves until her father gets into trouble and that forces her back into the family buisness. Her father is accused of stealing valuable paintings from a very mean mobster named Arturo Taccone and it is up to her and her crew to steal them back. Kat and her crew have to go all over the world to find clues about the missing paintings. She goes to many places like Warsaw, Los Vegas, Italy, New York, London, and France and she also recruits a couple of friends on the way. Kat and her crew have to find out who actually stole the paintings and how to steal them back.
There is a lot of humor, mystery and romance all stringed together, which I really liked. My favorite part about the book was when Hale, one of the characters, opened the door for someone and slyly put a piece of tape of the door latch so the door wouldn’t close completely. I like that part because it just shows the sneakiness of the characters and how smart they are. I also liked how the book started. It is mysterious and suspenseful even on the first page! My favorite quote from the book was at the beginning. Kat said, “The headmaster’s office called me a car” and Hale said “And here I am in a submarine.” I like it because Hale is so sarcastic and they also are play on words.
I would definitely recommend this book to people who like suspense. However, be prepared to be a little confused because the plot is a little confusing because it is written like you know what the characters are talking about already. There isn’t much description of the characters but I guess that is ok because you get to know their characteristics throughout the book. It is an engaging read from the perspective of a thief’s mind.

“Heist Society was one-of-a-kind. Ally Carter did an amazing job with this book. She took a great idea and unrolled it into a fabulous tale of a teenage thief. Not to mention the facts of famous art. :D And Europe. I loved this book. It was so much fun to read.
Kat was a great MC (Main Character). Her perspective and Characteristics make you want more. The romance with her and Hale is sweet and the whole gang and their teamwork is just fun. You just fit right in with the Bishop family.
I loved the first books of Ally's Gallagher Girls, and now Heist has taken over my heart to join the throng of YA books. ”
