I am frusturated when people act as if the books premise is so disgusting that they cannot see the virtuoso performance of its author. I am shocked though that someone can be impressed by its merits and NOT disturbed by the concept.

    I think Nabokov would be dissapointed and worried that a human could find the content unruffling.
