I loved the book, but can anyone answer the question: Why did Roxanne and Gen get married?!

The end was inevitable and the only way it could go. As much as we would have loved for it to be resolved in some other humane manner, the outside world had not gone through the remarkable transformation that the captors and captives had. It was a wonderfully romanticized story of a terrorist takeover, but I had a hard time believing all 50 captives got along so well....for 4+ months? One big happy family? A little hard to believe. Not one hot head attempting to over throw the terrorists? No plots to get out? That being said, I still loved the fantasy of it.

I hated it. At first I enjoyed it, through the middle I tolerated it, and in the end I got mad. Everyone you developed true feelings for dies.

i felt like the author got stuck with her direction so had to kill everybody off. The ending is quite lame to me

Interesting story of several individual characters held captive, a story about relationships, friendships, uncertainties, hardships, hope and love. Captivating!
