• Sebastion Pendergast: Teenage protagonist who lives in a dome with his grandmother.
• Nana: Sebastion's grandmother who has raised and taught Sebastion. She gives tours of the house of tomorrow.
• R. Buckminster Fuller: His character died in 1983 but is repeatedly referenced. He was a scientist/architect who created the geocentric dome and is possibly Nana's former lover.
• Jared Whitcomb: Teenage boy Sebastion befriends while giving a dome tour. Jared has recently had a heart transplant.
