Didn’t Like It“At it's best it feels like being in a Fellini film. At it's worst overreaching and dull affectation.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“This entire series is incredible.”

Yes | No“Nietzsche was right - God is dead, and his massive body is floating face up in the ocean... and he's beginning to turn. At least he has a smile on his face? This book will make you dig deeper into your own belief system, but I don't feel in any way that it tries to send an athiest message, so even the deeply religious should be able to (hopefully) look past the literal slant on the partaking of His flesh (tastes just like Burger King, who knew?) and other things that sound sacreligious, and see it for the tongue-in-cheek satire that it's meant to be. The sequels are great too, God is put on trial post-humously in the final novel for "crimes against humanity"... ok, maybe the very devout will take offense. It may not be right for you. But if you are intrigued, you may find that this book actually helps you to hammer out the fine points of your faith, as I did. And how WOULD you feel if you knew, beyond a doubt, that there was a God? ”

Morrow was able to get my thoughts churning while laughing throughout. Some may find the idea of making chicken nuggets out of God's nipples to be horrifying, but I just giggled.”
