    dear caroline f:
John Lithgow (Roberta Muldoon) wasn't a transvestite. SHE was a transexual. It wasn't just the clothes, it was the whole, um, package, as it were.

I loved reading this book for a nice long time, and I can't really tell you why. I guess maybe I love this book because it's so utterly random yet down to earth.

This book had the same epic feel as The World According to Garp. And the title is quite moving when you reach the end.
