“A moving and sometimes emotionally overwhelming story of a missonary family torn apart. The Poisonwood Bible is the a story of a family torn apart by their father/husbands personality and events beyond their control. The narrative is told by the four Price sisters and their mother. The only voice not heard in this story is that of their father. I found it puzzling as to why he doesn't tell his own story. You do get bits and pieces of the fathers story from the others.
I found this book to moving and just couldn't put this book down. I will be definitely reading more books by this author.”
