This is an amazing book on Nordic-Germanic mythology. The author combines modern archaeological finds- most notably those of Marija Gimbutas, anthropological knowledge and folklore of native cultures, and ancient myths and legends. The result is a remarkable synthesis that approaches a reconstitution of a Northern European oral tradition.
