The book opens with a mom named Jessica Matthews who has two kids named Bryan 14 and Jenny 5. After taking out the trash, she awakens in a room sucking on the thigh of a 4000 year old vampire who was stark naked and chained to the wall, named Patrick.
Her husband left her for his much younger secretary and was expecting their first child when he perished in a car accident. She never did get that divorce, now instead she's a widow.

There are a group of single parents that were turned into vampires by Lorcan, who is Patrick's brother. Don't worry, he's not evil, he was just sick.


This book is all about her adventures in learning how to become a vampire along with all her other turned friends. She's so funny and there's enough action to keep you turning the pages.

Each book is another single parent's story so you aren't following one character through the whole series. You're getting to know each new vampire. They're stories are all so similar with a little bit of violence, a little bit of thrill, mixed up with some humor and erotica and you've got a great weekend reader.
