• Lizzy Tucker: A pastry chef in Marblehead who makes the best cupcakes. An unknowing 'Unmentionable' with the enhanced ability to detect certain kind of energy. Lives in a house inherited from her Aunt Ophelia.
• Diesel: An incredibly handsome man who disrupts Lizzy's life. Has powers to open locks and locate people .
• Gerwulf Grimoire: A pale and dark haired, dangerous man with a hunger for power. Known as 'Wulf' and cousin of Diesel.

Content makes this unsuitable for younger readers. Janet herself suggested this as an appropriate book for me to have my 13 yr old daughter read to introduce her to her books. My dtr for years has listened to me "laugh out loud" at Janet's writing. As I read this book I thought about handing it over to me dtr and decided it was fine. She has read it and yes she enjoyed it. Can't wait till she's old enough to handle the Plum series!!
