Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis edit

  • Emily: Emily,a girl in Middle school who is part of the 'gifted' class. Her power is to see the future. Emily is a nice girl with a good heart but the one thing she struggles with is controlling her power. Although she can see into the future her visions aren't always clear. In this book she is learning how to deal with her powers in dangerous situations.
  • Jenna: Jenna is a girl in Middle school who is part of the gifted class. Her power is to read people's mind. Jenna is a nice girl with a hard outer shell. She doesn't get close to people unless she's sure she can trust them. This is because she had a hard life; her mother was an alcoholic, she lived in a council flat but before that Jenna was made to live in a children detention center because one of her mates was caught breaking the law while she was there. Jenna is now just clearing her act up as she works on controlling her powers in the gifted class.
  • Tracey: Tracey Devon one of the gifted class mates. She has the power of turning in invisible. This was because of her sisters the seven-Devon. Tracey use to be happy, an only child. That was until her seven sister were born and her parents stopped paying attention to her. This made Tracey feel alone and left out everyone seemed to be forgetting her. So she became invisible because she felt invisible too. This is why Tracey is only just happy again thanks to Amanda with her way of getting everyone to notice her.
  • Amanda: Amanda is the queen bee of her high school yet she's part of the gifted class. Everything Amanda does is about fitting in. She is a popular girl that's why she doesn't want to be part of gifted class. Amanda's power is swapping bodies. She does this when she feels sorry for them and she can't control it. Many students in the gifted class don't trust Amanda and believe she is up to something. Apart from Tracey she feels Amanda has a good heart.
  • Charles: Charles is part of the gifted Class. He has the power to move things with is mind and has been in a wheelchair since he was a baby. He doesn't get along that well with the other gifted students and tends to throw a few books at them with his powers.
  • Martin: Martin is in the Gifted class. He has the power to turn into an animal of massive strength. Which is useful for him as he is bullied for being short.
  • Carter: Carter is in the gifted class but everyone wonders why. He never talks, he never shows any sign of powers and seems so out of it that even when Charles gets a book to his head he doesn't even seem to care. Is he gifted no one even knows his real name he was named after the street he was found on. So can he be gifted? He's a mystery that no one can figure out.
  • Ken: Ken is in the gifted class. He is a popular jock, well, he was a jock. A few years ago he and his best mate were involved in an accident together during football practice. His mate died and he was left with a broken leg. He now can hear dead people and doesn't like to play football anymore. Ken is good friends with Jenna, Emily and Tracey in the gifted class. Oh, but Amanda is a different story. He doesn't really know what to think of her
  • Sarah: Sarah is in the gifted class. She is fair haired and always nice. She doesn't use her gifted which is make people do what you want because of something that happened when she was a child.
  • Madame: Madame is the teacher of the gifted class. It is not yet known if Madame has powers. If she does, she has kept it well hiden. Her job is to teach the gifted students how to control their powers and how to get a grip on them. She is the only teacher at the school who knows that the gifted class has students with powers. Well the only teacher that's suppose to know.
  • Howard: One of the kidnappers.
  • George: One of the kidnappers.
  • Clare: One of the mean kidnappers. Is head of the rest of them.
  • Mike: A member of the basketball team. Is superstitious.
  • Stewart: Member of the basketball team.
  • Tony: Member of the basketball team.
  • Nina: One of Amanda's mates. Wants to be in the cheerleading team.
  • Emilys mother: A woman who panics easily and thinks of Emily's gift more as a problem. Is only concerned for her daughters safety.
