Hi guys, I've finished the first 100 pages of Huckle today and well, I actually used to read this book before with my class in America and my teacher once asked me about the idea of civilization and the image of the Mississippi River in this novel, eg. their symbolic meanings and their connections with Huck Finn, etc. I found these 2 elements very interesting and crucial for this book so I hope that you guys can spare your time thinking of them. I really appreciate it.

    Hi all -

Just wanted to get feedback on a new website that a bunch of us (mostly Ph.D. and Masters students from Stanford and Berkeley) just recently launched.

Here's our coverage of Huck Finn. We'd love to know what you think.

    Thanks!

People have said Huckleberry Finn was the best novel Mark Twain has ever written, better than Tom Sawyer! If you were Huckleberry Finn, what adventures would you like to go on?

Katya..if you click on 'see book description' in blue under the title (at the top of this page) it should come up with a page that will tell you what the book is about.

In a nutshell, if you've read 'the adventures of tom sawyer' this book is a kind of sequel written from Huckleberry Finn's point of view. He is a young boy and it is a story of his journey and adventures down the Mississipi river as he is running away from 'sivilisation' in the 19th century.

It is an interesting story and I enjoyed reading it. I love how Mark Twain satirised the hypocrisy of the times.
