Unlike any other author or book I've ever read. Faulkner has a way of manipulating the reader and placing them in the minds of his characters that no other author has. Amazing!

English 524: American Literature 1920 to 1950 - The book started out difficult and became more difficult as it developed. But I liked that it was harder to read and understand. The fact that this novel made me work makes me love it even more. Main characters are Benji, Jason, Quentin, and Caddy. A experimental narrative told through four different character's conscious.

Difficult to follow - abstract timeline. Beautiful story. Thought provoking. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Everyone should read this book. Follows a family and a region through the loss of the southern gentleman and the degradation of the southern belle.

A very difficult and confusing book to read. Faulker's style and syntax are very foreign to me. Its story set in early 20th century Mississippi (and a bit in Boston). Its a story of unhappy people, with the main focus of the story being on money and incest.

I don't know if I can read his style of writing again.
