It was an interesting book with a bunch of things like you wouldn't believe. There was always something weird going on, either with trolls, or potions like wolf's bane and a bunch of other cool names. My favorite part was the quidditch game. The boy students wre riding on broomsticks and throwing balls through hoops. There was also a little golden ball with wings that flew really fast called the snitch. Near the end there was a big chess set that actually destroyed other pieces, then Harry (the main character) was attacked by the evil guy, voldemort, whos head was on the back of a teacher's. At the end Harry's team, or class, won the house cup over his little enemy Malfoy of Slitherin. (Harry's team is Gryffindor). Then everyone went home on the train. That is my review on Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.

I loved the book and I think that the series just kept getting better, but since this was the first one of the series, I liked it just as well as all the rest.

Bibliographic information- Title- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone. Author- J.k. Rowling. Published in the United states.

J.k. Rowling wrote the Harry Potter books out of personal desire. She is not trying to prove anything. But their is a moral undertone to each book. The first book '' Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone'' takes place in Great Britain. The story starts off in Harry Potter's Aunt and Uncle's house the Dursley's. But the story rapidally picks up and takes the reader a mystical castle. The castle Harry Potter goes to is called by the name of Hogwarts school for Wtchcraft and Wizardry. Harry attends his first year at Hogwarts and is greeted by many surprises along the way both uplifting and dangerous. A side story to the first book in the series is Neville Longbottom's( a boy in Harry Potter's grade. That shares the same dormitory as him) strive to better himself and stand up for what he believes in.This book is very imaginative and inspirational. Recomended for those who love to imerse themselfs in a captivating world like no other.

I loved it. I haven't read it for a while now, so I'm not sure if I should make it 4 or 5 stars. I'll just pretend it's 4 and a half.
