“I just listened to the audiobook, and the initial impact of this story has not been lost in the years since my first reading. The sense of bewilderment, awe and innocent righteousness comes through with every word. One comment about the audiobook: Jim Dale's inflections for Hermoine is much, much, much too whiny to give her character the strength it demands. ”
