“This book is a terrific read. It gives you a peek at Indian culture, past and present. It deals with modern day relationship between husband and wife- the everyday and the cross culture. It talks about raising a child. It speaks to everyone on one level or another ”

I like learning about different cultures and this book was about the Indian culture. This book was interesting in that it shows that the most important thing is family. I didn't like the ending of this book. The ending did not give the characters closer and it left me angry how the author ended the book. The whole book was about a mother finding her daughter and then it ends with the daughter deciding to not find her biological mother even though she has wondered and searched her whole life. ”

The daughter is adopted by an American family (father who grew up in India) and is raised in America. She comes back to India at the age of 20 to write a report for school. During the trip she becomes close to her family and realizes that blood does not make family. ”
