  • Olivia: Liv is the main character. She has been different all her life until her thirteenth birthday where she turned way different--she nearly attacked her mom over a dead wolf. Liv now feels the rage inside of her always, just waiting for a chance to take over. It terrifies her. What is she? She's not even sure she wants to know.
  • Corey: Liv's secret boyfriend. They have been going out for years, friends even longer, but Liv keeps him a secret from her parents because he's black and she thinks they won't accept him.
  • Pace: Liv's best friend. He's gay, but in the closet. He pretends to go out with Liv to hide the fact that he is gay to his parents and to hide the fact that Liv is really dating Corey.
  • Joe Ranger: A man who makes prosthetic limbs and who Liv's mom tells Liv to stay away from. She talks to him anyway.
  • Sadie Nelson: Liv's ex-friend.
  • Carl Olaf: A guy who torments Liv.
  • Gramp: Liv's grandfather.
