A war of light is beginning, the blue light of hope has been discovered, as well as the violet light of love, now another light is joining the war - the orange light of avarice, greed. The one wielder of the light, Larfleeze, is angry with the Guardians, and will do everything in his power to keep his orange light.

  • Hal Jordan: An American Air Force pilot, and Green Lantern of 2814.
  • John Stewart: An American Marine, also a Green Lantern of 2814.
  • Broo'Dee Walker (Saint Walker): A member of the Blue Lantern corps, from Space Sector 1, the planet of Astonia. He believes that Hal Jordan is supposed to join the ranks of his corps.
  • Ganthet: Once a member of the Guardians, Ganthet was banished, but he always had a close relationship with Jordan.
  • Sayd: Also once a member of the Guardians, Sayd was also banished for her belief in the power of emotions, and the good that could coalesce from them.
  • Larfleeze (Agent Orange): The one wielder of the orange light, which has totally consumed him.

  • The Anti-Monitor: The Monitor's Anti-Matter counterpart, once the Guardian of the Sinestro Corps, now the power battery for the mysterious Black Lanterns.
  • The Alpha Lanterns: A group of Green Lanterns that serve as the police of the Green Lanterns corps, handling internal affairs. Consisting of Varix, Chaselon, Kraken, Green Man, Boodikka, the five were lead in to have "cosmic surgery," becoming disfigured, robotic hybrids of what they once were. John Stewart was propositioned for a spot amongst them, but declined because he didn't fully understand what would be expected of him.
  • The Controllers: A group once associated with the Guardians of Oa, that sought to purify the universe of evil and bring order, even at the cost of life, and will of free innocents.
