Amanda Quick is one of my favourite historical romance/suspense authors. Her characters are always well drawn, her dialog superb and the plots are intriguing and not overly predictable. This is as a good an entry from her as I have read in a long time, with a deep mystery surrounding both main characters that the reader only sort of knows the truth about, until almost the end.
