“This was a cute quick read. The main character's aunt is blackmailed and she is trying to figure out who it is by posing as the mistress of an earl she thought was dead. Turns out he is not and they meet up.”

It also could have used more back story. Still, like the previous Amanda Quick books that I've read, Mistress was witty and amusing. I just wish that Ms. Quick would write a heroine who was wise in the ways of the world. ”

She succeeds until Marcus, the earl in question suddenly shows up at the same ball Iphiginia is attending. I love stories with a masquerade and this one was such fun. Marcus was such an interesting character and the heroine is so likable. I also like the way the side story with Iphiginia's cousin was handled.”
