There are a few erotic scenes between a married couple in this book, so it's not for every reader, but the characters are clever and very well developed. I applaud Ms. Quick's brilliant visualization of character and her ability to write suspenseful and interesting plot.

I loved this book!! I loved the optismism and uplifting mood of the book! The loves scenes didn't over run the book like with some romance novels. There were well put and so romantic :)

Quick's books never fail to put a smile on my face.
Emily and Simon are a wonderful couple. Emily is endearing, naive yet gutsy and it is entertaining to see Simon's coldness thaw and his struggle with his emotions.
I could, however, have done without the constant repetition of the "metaphysical" nonsense. Once or twice was enough to get the point across.

Jedna od boljih Amandinih ljubavnih prica iz viktorijanskog doba

You can't go wrong with an Amanda Quick regency romance. Always clever dialogue, great villains, flawed heroines, and handsome and heroic heroes. Loved that Emily wore glasses and had a gift for finances. Loved that Simon tried to make himself unlovable. Warning: these books are very spicey!

Amanda Quick writes a formula book - if you've read one you've read them all. However, they make good fluff reading if you indulge her that these are different characters and you like the metaphysical as well as romance. She's a bit dark, though.

The audiobook is incredible. More than perfect. Em is such a romantic and she may be a naive creature, but she is sooooooooo wonderful. Especialy with Simon by her side. They both just fit each other perfectly.
(Simon enemies are in his wife's debt, but hw will they pay their debts? What will happen to Em's ''The myterious Lady/Earl''... I wonder ^^)
    A very funny novel.
