  • Phillip "Pip" Downs: all he cares about is getting his little brother to school and getting high and drunk. He is sixteen with an attitude and has trouble participating and staying in school. he has a concious of resposibility, but he is usually so high or wasted he just doesn't care.
  • Mr. Downs: a drunk careless man who loves his scotch. all he does is watch tv, yell, and abuse pip from time to time when he is extra mad. he also has a temper. pip gets it from him.
  • Mikey: Pip's 6 year-old brother who asks one to many questions about stuff he doesn't know, mostly about M&Ms.
  • Mrs. Downs: Pip's mom who is usually very passive towards her drunk husband and lets him push the kids around
  • Clara: Pip's Counsler who is very nice and is always telling Pip he has choices.
  • Johnny: One of Pip's Friends who is a big drug dealer and eventually gets busted and sent to jail.
  • Slayer: Pip's other friend who is also big into drugs and drinking who also gets caught and sent to rehab.
  • Tony: I can't remeber his name but he smokes with Pip behind the dumpster and tells Pip that he is going no where fast.
