• Bianca Olivier: The main character, her parents are vampires and she is one of the only people to be born to a vampire couple. This is because her parents made a deal with some Wraiths.
• Lucas Ross: Bianca's love interest. Was/Is a part of the Black Cross, but left or is trying to leave because Bianca is a vampire.
• Balthazar More: Vampire, Charity's brother and one of Bianca's best friends.
• Vic Damone: Human. Lucas's best friend. He was the main person to help take care of Bianca and Lucas when they were on the run.
• Ranulf: Vampire-over1400 years old. And one of Vic's best friends.
• Christopher Bethany: Long, thick hair. Adult, but not middle aged. Broad shoulders. Slim waist. Firm gaze. Piercing eyes. Oldest wraith who helps Bianca see her potential as a wraith. Married to Mrs. Bethany before his death by betraying friends.
• Skye Tierney: Sleek dark hair. Pale blue eyes with thick lashes. Perfect skin. New human student. Becomes friend with Lucas. Helps save Bianca.
• Raquel: Girl that Bianca knew her first year at Evernight and became friends with. Dana is her girlfriend. New member to the Black Cross.
• Dana: A black cross hunter that Lucas grew up with. Is practically Lucas' sister and Raquel's lover
• Maxie: Vic's wraith. Helps Bianca figure out some of her wraith powers. In love with Vic.
• Patrice Deveraux: A vampire who is friends wiht Bianca and is her roommate the first year at evernight
• Kate: Lucas' mom. Pretty much one of the main leaders of Black Cross.
• Samuel Younger: vampire that torments Lucas
• Erich: a vampire that Lucas kills in the first book for hunting Raquel
