“that's the most touching book from my childhood. I remember going back to it several times - there are so many things you can learn from this boy's journal. A real must-read for every kid!”

“this is a sweet book which was a must in the educational curriculum of all Italian primary schools during the Eighties. As schoolgirl i diligently read and discuss it with mates and teacher. the years passed and the world changed, now, as an educational psychologist, would not completely recommend this book for modern children beacuse of the fact that it is drenched into historical happenings too far away in the human memory. Unless you would love your kids to have a great look back into the past and how relationships were animated and developed more than 50 years ago in Italy. This book includes some lovely recountings based on that kind of innocence and fragrance that only a child is equipped with.”
