The main character, Reese, goes through a metamorphis while in a juvenile prison. He is assigned to complete a work program with a community nursing home. A friendship blossoms from an unlikely and unusual relationship with an older, racist gentleman. The lessons learned through the discovery of Reese's awakening is a snapshot of acceptance.
