“I read the book as both a child (well, teenager anyway) and an adult. I don't find it loses anything in the translation now that I am an adult. While it is an allegory, and much of it very symbolic, I find I get something different out of it each time I read it. Depending on where I am in my own spiritual journey, and the trials I've personally faced, the problems of Much Afraid take on new meaning, and I will read something into it that I never saw before. That is the beauty of an allegory. You aren't supposed to take it literally, but let it meet you where you are at.”
“What an awesome book to read. Everyone should read about her spiritual journey and the companions she had. It certainly makes one to look at their own spiritual journey and who we bring along, what companions we should keep. Each person mush take away what is important to their life and discard the rest.”
