Lisa is unforgettable. I think she handle herself very well for someone toss back 700 years in time.

    I re-read this novel twice.

My exact notes as I gave up on this one:
Giveaway – got to page 95 and it could hold my interest no longer. I have read this storyline before and it could have held my interest once again if this had been decent writing. This was only fair for those first 95 pages and once I started skimming, it rapidly fell to poor. Characters' thoughts on various happenings are mulled over again and again and again. My skimming revealed overused shenanigans and a heroine who got meaner by the chapter.

Book Three. Circenn Brodie is immortal. Lisa Stone comes flying through time and lands in his lap, as a result of a curse he put on an artifact. She touched the artifact in the museum where she works and is transported to him. What fun this time travel is. Circenn is a supporter of Robert the Bruce of Scotland. Circenn's army are Knight Templars. If this makes any sense to you, you'll love is historical romance

Circen is a dream of a man, both powerful and sensual but also a man with his own fears. Highly sexual and honorable. A man I would like to meetin everyday life.
Karen Marie Moning is my favorite romance author.

Yet again a fabulous story in the highlander series of Karen Marie Moning. It seems that all her stories take you on a journey full with romance, tensions and magic from the beginning till the end. Circenn is a real highlander, big, muscular and very attractive. It is great to see Circenn struggle with the fact he has to kill Lisa and cannot do it. And that he cannot keep his vow to Adam. And when others around Circenn and Lisa interfere in their relationship , well there are some great moments of laughter. Lisa is a very strong woman from the 21st century. She is irresistibly drawn to Circenn from the beginning, but she cannot forget her dying mother and will do anything to get back to her own time.
And well what can I say about the second characters. Duncan and Galen are great, how the brothers feels about Circenn and get Circenn often in embarrassment, well those are the funniest situations.
I would love to read a whole story about Duncan.
Adam Black surprised me, in The highlanders mist he was dark en dangerous, but now in this story he is kind and forgiving. Well who can blame him, if you know what Circenn means to him.

I love the interaction between the characters in this novel. As always, KMM's leading men are tall and sexy and her female leads are virgins, but this story boasts amusing wordplay and (a problem that is near to my heart) what to do when the man you love sees you as a sisterly figure...or at least when you think that's how he sees you. :)
