Ahh to be able to write like Moning...she is such a story teller!! Cian and Jessi, this is their story and what a story at that. My only complaint is the love scene came so late. Her love scenes are always steamy so the more the merrier I say! This was a great read!

This one made me hope to be a historian or archeolodist one day! It would be so great to come upon a mystical object that brings a hot 14th century man from scottland into my life!(yes im sad)

Cian MacKeltar is a gorgeous, but powerful sorcerer. He is used to get things his way, but when his best friend betrayed him and trapped him inside the Dark Glass, he wants his revenge. And when the opportunity appears to get outside the mirror, he grabs it with both hands. But he didn’t expect to fall in love with a 21st century woman.
Jessi St. James is a archaeology student and determined to get a her degree soon. But when she accept an artefact for her professor, her whole life turns upside down. And when the man in the mirror make her say a spell that sets him free and save her live. What other can she do then fall in love with him.

This series just getting better and better. I read all seventh of the highlander books and each one has his own gorgeous alpha male in it, with a strong woman by his side. But I have to say the MacKeltar men are the best of all.
I really enjoy that the other two MacKeltars Drustan and Dageus and their wives came by and help Cian and Jessi to break the curse. I’ll hope to read more of them in the future.

I don’t have to say that Karen Marie Moning is one of the best authors at the moment. Her highlander’s series is great. The books keep your attention from page one.
This book was super and I cannot wait to read the next instalment in the highlander series.

not a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon at a beach. Past that, I wouldn't bet on this for much. The book does have some good byplay between the two characters, even if the heroine is improbable as heck (a virgin PhD archaeologist?) I hadn't read the others, but that didn't hurt me in this novel.

I never thought i would get into time travel books, but I liked this one and the others in this series.Sometimes I had to read some sentences twice to really make sure of what they were saying. The accents they used were heavy, but added to the story. This story of Jessi and Cian was very different because of Cian being trapped in a mirror a lot of the time, but the author made it work..

This series has been fairly good, although after a while I get a little tired of all the supposedly 20th century girls being introverted virgins. Just once I'd like to see a highlander deal with a girl who has interesting piercings and a "pe-de" collection.

I have enjoyed this story like a addict with a new shot, Karen Marie Moning knows how to put words into a chain that flows through your body like liquid chocolate. Cain is "to devour" Scottish barbarian from the 9th century and he makes my heart melt when he says to Jessica: "You fit me here, as he was pounding on his chest/heart." This story has made me laugh, cheering for the good in the hope to conquer evil en the end is very satisfying.

A wonderful, edgy series. You'll learn to love each hero in their own, unique way.
