- MacKayla Lane: MacKayla Lane: 22 year old part time student working as a bartender. She's young, blonde, loves pink and music on her Ipod. She's oblivious to hardship, believing her life perfect in her tiny town in Georgia until she finds out her sister has been murdered in Dublin. She is devastated, but finding the killer consumes her once she hears a cryptic phone message from her sister moments before she was killed.
- Barrons: Secretive & mysterious man that takes MacKayla in to help her find out what has happened to her sister, but only to help himself out. He is a dark, smart, knows more than he is willing to share, but teaches MacKayla more than she is ready for
