An engaging, character-driven study of the Constitutional Convention. It reads like a novel and provides inviting studies of the major players as well as the lesser-known figures. Includes texts of several working documents that led to the Constitution and biographical sketches of the delegates.

Throughout this revolution of government, conventions were held with chosen delegates from each state present. Every politician knew everyone else involved and could not escape any interactions with them. Within this revolutionary generation, these men knew each other well, and because of this close relationship, they have built a reputation for themselves that speaks volumes when they are discussed as a group, compared to when they are discussed that individuals.
