Jillian Greene is mad as hell. And of course a man is responsible. They're lying cheating jerks -all of them. Luckily she has the perfect job exposing men for the scum they really are. She works for an agency (Catch A Mate) which women hire *bait* (a beautiful woman like Jillian) to test their significant others. Only now the all-woman company has been bought out by a MAN! ACK! And get this -he's a gorgeous woman-hater. So from the get-go Jillian and her new boss Marcus Brody despise each other. He doesn't like her methods of luring the mark and she doesn't like...well him. Too bad they're too busy yelling at each other to take advantage of the explosive sexual chemistry between them. Take cover because sooner or later a bomb is going to hit and clothes will go flying!

WOW! I loved this book! I'm partial to hate-turns-to-love romance books and this one is one of the best I've read. Jillian and Marcus are sooo bad! A man-hater and a woman-hater ---do you think they have issues? LOL! They are at each others throats all the time. And at the same time there is this HUGE underling sexual tension between them because all that fighting is REALLY turning them on. Showalter's writing is engaging and down-right hilarious. I laughed a lot!

There is also a really cute secondary romance with Jillian's brother and her best friend. I wish there was more of them too.

So I recommend this book to anyone looking for a hate/love contemporary romance. A bit of fluff thats really funny in some places.

This was a great book. I could not put it down. It will make you laugh and cry. Jillian and Marcus love to hate each other. You will laugh at some of the pick up lines at the start of each chapter. Give it a try you might like it.

I was in the mood for a romantic comedy and i came accross this book online and bought it. i loved it. Jillian is your average man hating woman and Marcus is your average woman hating man.
it's a very warm novel that i am glad i picked up.

reminds me a little of To Catch a Cheat ( another must read)

Jillian Greene works for Catch A Mate (CAM) her job is too prove that the opposite sex can't be trusted ever. She never gets physical with the targets as a rule her rule. One day her boss Anne hires a Man to test the fidelity of women, which rubs Jillian the wrong way. What rubs her even more the wrong way is that Anne tells her that he will be her partner that evening for her job, to kind of show him the ropes.

Jillian doesn't need a partner especially a Miva (Man Diva) which is what she thinks he is by the way he is presenting himself. Cocky and self-assured and so insulting, and well too much like her; they were just not going to be able to get along. But what Jillian doesn't know is that Marcus her new partner is actually going to be her new boss he has just bought CAM. He doesn't know what has turned her into such a real man-hater but it turns him on and he intends to fix it.

At the same time same time something about him infuriates her and she loves it but doesn't want him to know it but she intends to go to war with him and try to make him leave. They are definitely from two different worlds and something about each other makes them hot for the other one but they refuse to let on about it until the other one admits it. But they both intend to make the other cave as soon as possible, which makes a few of their co-workers go nuts.

Anne lets them know that she has sold the business to Marcus which further drives Jillian to war with Marcus and vice versa. Marcus sets the girls up with guy partners and Jillian up with himself. Things happen during an assignment, that have them all heated up but they still refuse to admit anything. Jillian and Marcus will soon have everyone they know knowing all to well how they feel about each other even if they don't.

Gena Showalter cooks up a steamy and entertaining story with Catch A Mate. Jillian and Marcus are two characters that I won't soon forget. The characters in the story come to life with such Zing and Zeal! It was hard to put the book down. I will be glad to read anything else she writes especially if it is about those two and their friends.

Wow! Get ready for a steamy romantic contemp just how I like 'em: pure romance. I loved just about everything about 'Catch A Mate' especially the hero, Marcus. My only gripe was I wish he could have been a bit more English. He was otherwise perfect.

The tension was palpable and had my heart racing with every turn of the page. The love scenes were hot yet believable. These two were tailor-made for each other.

My only problem now is Jake's book is nowhere on the horizon! 'CAM' is a definite keeper for me.
