It took me almost 4 days to read this book. That's saying quite a lot because I can easily read a book that I enjoy in a day and a half. This book dragged on unnessarily. Yet at the same time, it would jump to a different scene so quickly, that I had to reread to see if I may have missed something. I'm not giving up on the author, look how many books she has written. In fact, I'm planning on reading Beyond Desire next. I just didn't care for this one at all.

This book was promising, it had a nice premise and plot. The characters were great, but the verbiage would have you think this was maybe a historical fiction. The way they talked for the most part was unrealistic, don't get me wrong I'm not saying they had to talk 'ghetto' or use unfitting language, but I don't know anyone besides some elderly people who says things like 'Oh Darling' it made what could have been a great book really corny. Magnus took entirely too much off of Prince and his mother, I can understand wanting a parents love and protecting your sibling but, they let that man get away with murder and the ending was not what I figured it should be. Great plot but like I stated the verbiage was very unrealistic even for quote unquote high society people, it made the characters all seem stuffy and stiff givng them no real depth. Overall the book was okay.

Very intresting book, there are no slow parts but this story can be a little predictable. Besides that, this book is great. I would recommend.

O my goodness. This book was awful. I just have to vent on the silliness of the characters in this book. No one in their right mind would put up with what Mangus and Selena put up with from Prince and his mother. And Mangus and Selena are so childish to not communicate their true feelings for each other and work out their problems w/o all of the drama. There was just no satisfying ending to this mess of a story. This book has 376 pages which was 200 pages too long.

GWEN IS A GREAT STORYTELLER. GWEN WRITES REALISTIC WAYS TO GO ON A PATH OF SELF DISCOVERY. SELENA DISCOVRED WHO WAS WRITING TH DISTUBING LETTER BY NOT FOLDING UP AND PUT HER BRAIN TO USE.
WITH A NAME LIKE MAGNUS, HE COULDN'T HELP BEING A GUY YOU WOULDN'T MIND HAVING YOURSELF. OF COURSE PRIDE SEEMED TO BE THE DOWNFALL OF ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK. MAGNUS'S BROTHER DID NOT GET WHAT WAS COMING TO HIM.
