Sinners in the Hands of an Angry Church

by Dean Merrill

Written by a former vice president of Focus on the Family, this is a book for Christians who want to take the high road in the personal and corporate war on culture. Far from a prescription for apathy, this book is a passionate call to Kingdom activity--and our mission as ambassadors to a world Christ died for, not as conquerors who would remake it in our image. I liked this book a lot. Written from within the religious right--by a true believer who has gotten tired of seeing the angry, divisive tactics of the religious right bring even more disharmony and hatred into our lives. Merrill advocates for a new approach to bearing witness, that rises above the angry, hurtful rhetoric that seems to dominate these partisan times. Hear hear!
