The story takes place in 1984 in Philly. All of the characters curse worse than truckers and have no values. They beat thier children cheat on their spouises and drink on thier lawns. It's the opitomy of the 80's at it's best and it's worst and it's just down right sad in parts. I did enjoy the story line but I found it gut wrenching for the most part. Not one I would recommend to many.
