“The Best Of Poe was another poem/novella book. It held all of Edgar Allen Poe’s greatest pieces. Most of the poems were complex and well written. This book contained the golden pendulum novella in which somebody is captured and is tortured by his captivators. They put him in a room and have a pendulum with a scythe on the end slowly swing closer to him.
I enjoyed only the short stories in this book. The poems were too complex and event though they were well written, I cannot understand any of it. Another reason that I couldn’t understand the poems is that I hardly read poems and they aren’t my style. I liked the short stories in this book because they were all horror stories and I like that genre so that fitted me.
