My eight year old son and I read this together as part of his "literature circle" for school. I was all over it because not only is it about the Globe and Shakespeare, but the focus is my all-time fav play, Hamlet. My son was delighted because there is plenty of action, intrigue and weapons. This is a very well-done piece of historical fiction that gives you period detail without bogging down under its own weight. I could almost give it 5 stars, but something was missing.
