The final to the looooooonnnnnggggggg 'tomorrow', and the "The Ellie Chronicles" series. I am writing this review representing the whole series as well. This book is the capstone on the pyramid which John Marsden was building. Read this book to find out what happens to Ellie Linton and Gavin at the end. A perfect book after the endless chaos in the 'tomorrow' series, it shows the effects of war, and how Ellie survived. The reason I just love this book and the series, is that it's so realistic. So many people try to write stories about war, and I would say that just about 99.9% of them FAILS. But John Marsden doesn't. It's like he experienced war himself. And it also has my favourite qoute:

"Life is not fair. About 90 percent of rage in this world is because people don't understand that"

It's tre, if you think about it. So anyways, to anyone hesitating to approach the two series, I think you should not waste your time deciding and just go straight into the first book. There was not one book out of the ten which I didn't really enjoy reading. So go ahead. Read the book.

The last of the Ellie Chronicles (which followed the "Tomorrow, When the War Began" series), this manages to tie up loose ends yet leave the reader with a bit to imagine. Ellie must come to terms with the government decisions, her economic situation, and her responsibilities to herself and Gavin. Lee returns, and some secret identities are revealed to good effect. Ellie, basically, grows up - and finds a kind of peace. While I'm sad to let the characters go, it is time...

An interesting and definitely unexpected ending to the series. i haven't really found any of the books EXTREMELY fantastic, though they are still worthwhile books. They were gripping, even if not the most interesting.
