It's not my favorite of Koontz's books, but it really was an interesting story. It was kinda lacking his usual humor, but Michael showed it sometimes.

My, this is bad. I like the idea behind the book, but the writing is just awful. Shame on Dean Koontz for pimping ideas out to people who need to have their typing privileges revoked.

I inhaled the first two of these books promptly - and after waiting and waiting for the third to come out (in fact I thought I missed it as it was due to be released - according to the blurbs - late summer 2006) I found out on the net that the delay is because of hurricane Katrina. These books are set in New Orleans, and because of the storm damage the places don't jive anymore, or something. Koontz didn't want to rewrite the third one, nor did he (and his publishers) want to ditch it - so word has it that #3 WILL be coming out next summer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If you're a Koontz fan, you'll like these books.
