    A wonderful book; starts a few picoseconds after the big bang and continues through the present to a speculation on the inconceivably distant future demise of the Universe. It sounds like a very boring read, but it's not. Touches upon virtually every scientific discipline, and does it in a conversational style that is truly engaging.
