In fact I think I have all of these books on audio. Driving at least three hours a day gives me plenty of time to listen to stories. Joseph Campbell spells it out and allows you to see the many faces of god in all aspects through out history and cultures.

Covers Egypt, Ancient India, Golden Age of India (great chapter), China, Japan, and a short chapter on Tibet during the 1950s when Communist China came and completely slaughtered most of the monks. Excellent and eye-opening all around, but can get boring or too academic sometimes.
