I throughly enjoyed this book whilst I was reading it but it didn't make a lasting impression on me. On occasion I found her recollections too romanticised, not a heinous crime and one I can forgive her for. Shah's writing is very lyrical and paid homage to the storyteller in the title. An interesting and enjoyable read.”
