The Celestine Prophecy An Adventure

by James Redfield

You have never read a book like this before -- a book that comes along once in a lifetime to change lives forever.

The Celestine Prophecy is one of my favorite classic spiritual fiction journeys. The book follows the personal growth of one man as he follows a mysterious query about an ancient manuscript. An old friend happens to drop by and tells him about an ancient Peruvian manuscript dating back to 600 BC. This relic tells of a shift in the mind thought of the world starting at the end of the 20th century. The key to this shift are nine insights that must be gained, understood, and integrated into the mind and lives of individuals.

Intrigued by the possibilities, the main character travels to Peru in hopes of finding out more about this mystery. With no real direction or plan, at each step he is helped along by coincidence and others following the same quest. Along the way, he also learns about himself, his connection to the universe, and his part in this evolutionary process.

I like the book, an adventure every chapter and every insight. The book says many will reject its ideas because many of us have set beliefs that the book might contradict...

but if you read it with blank expectations and understand it for what it was saying... it basically tells us about our generation's restlessness...

the quest to find the answers to questions that are difficult to understand...

this is a deep book and I recommend the reader to open his her mind to this book in order to grasp what it is really saying.

I read this a few years after it was published. It changed my life. It lead me on a spiritual path and eventually back to Christ. I ended up reading a lot of Deepak Chopra and the Dalai Lama after it. The major takeaway was a deeper understanding of the difference between spirituality and religion.

I really enjoyed how this book opens your point of view about the world and the people around you that you share it with.

Its good it will change your life! He could write it better but still good. Its all about energy and how we can get our vibrations even higher! If you know nothing about the vibrations of the would then this is a good book to teach you!

This book started me on my quest for enlightenment. Filled with in depth insights into the nature of human existence, and the future of our species in a spiritual space. A breadth of optimism for many cultures and religious backgrounds. I'd recommend it to anyone as well as the succeeding Celestine books by this author. (Though the movie wasn't as good as it could have been, but are they ever?)

I liked the insights. The story is not well developed.

What a weird and annoying book. I really didn't like it. Very new-age with hardly any plot and too many coincindences.

It is supposed to be a journey mirroring an inner journey of discovery. The locales of exotic south American continents contribute.
