This is a core magical book on the subject of herbs. I use it all the time for knowing what herbs are good for what magically. It has a fantastic set of reference tables at the back where the herbs are listed by magical properties.

I have been reading Scott Cunninghams books for a while. His Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs is great! Who knew that some of the "weeds" in our yard have cures to illness? I highly recommend this book to any one who wants to know about herbs and their heling properties.

Good reference book - Beware the contradictions though. Oh yeah make sure to have another herb book to back up what you find - since the "poisonous" information in this book....uhhh not so good.

Another Cunningham staple. I refer to this book a LOT when crafting spells. It is set up with a short primer on types of spells, procedures to use with the herbs for each type, magical intentions, the herbs themselves (listing folk names, gender, planet, element, deities, powers, magical uses), and then an index that cross references everything. As far as I know, there is not another work that puts it all together like this one in an easy to use reference book. If anyone finds one, please, let me know!

This is a good book for starting off, to get an idea of what's out there and their associations. However, I don't recommend this as a primary resource for magickal flora reference as many things contradict each other once you read into the book and compare what Cunningham says. Keep a couple different titles to cross reference. Anyone found one that's pretty good in general?
