Too bad I could not rate this book a zero because it screams for it! To say I was disappointed is a gross understatement. I read the reviews from many readers and really expected a good read but in my opinion this book lacked everything I look for in Vampire Eroticism/Romance. The characters were dead-on one dimensional. There was no definable tension between Domini and Alec, no suspense within the story, and certainly no anticipation leading into the sex which, let's face it, all Vampire addicts crave and expect. And really, what was up with that Indiana Jones hat??? That was a real turn off for me. A Vampire with a fedora? Ick! If you're looking for a sweet ride to the dark side, hit it with J R Ward and her Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

Not all series need to start at the beginning, this one does. I stumbled across this series and began it backwards with the fifth and sixth books. The fifth one wasn't so hard to follow. But the last one, I could see I was missing too much background information.

Sizemore is able to imprison the reader emotionally. No matter what goes wrong within the pages, I couldn't possibly stop reading the book. Normally I refuse to read books published over a year or to in the past. I feel there are too many good ones being put on the shelf now. So for me to reach back almost a decade to find this gem, it's got to say something positive about the author's writing ability.

My only complaint, which is a small one, is the ending wasn't complete. It was cut off before Domini discussed her past with Alec. It also ended too abruptly. Other than that, much of my questions about the Prime series has been explained.

Readers, even if vampire romance isn't your thing, this series might change your view. I'm not a huge fan, but I really love the Prime series.
Much better vamp stories out there --

I stopped around 120. Too slow paced and too alpha male for me. Not very thrilling either. With regard to vamp books, I liked JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood & Maggie Shayne's Edge of Twilight.

What a great combination! This was one of the first vampire romance novels I read. Then, when I got the compilation, "Crave the Night", I actually re-read it. I can never stand to re-read a book, but this one was almost as good the second time as the first!

There is a lot of action, which I like in a romance novel. There were twists and turns to the plot, so you weren't quite sure what would happen next. And the romance was hot too!

Great book, and the sequels are good too.

Full of action. Keeps you waiting till the last. Can't wait for another. Another hero that is sexy, tall and all man. The woman is a woman and still won't take nothing off her vampire. great read.
