“Really enjoyed this. The middle section was tremendous, and gave a lot of food for thought., on the nature of evil(the devil appeared as quite pleasant..)The description too of life in a small conservative Scottish village was well portrayed.Will certainly read more of his work.”
“I loved this! I thought it was going to be magical realism at first, which I hate, but this is different. Is he mad or sane? What really did happen to him in the river? I'm not sure I know the answers to either of these questions. Definitely one to re-read.”
