Wow for another one. Stewart O'Nan is an excellent writer. This was extremely dark (well, gray, actually), depressing, and dreary but a very worthwhile and interesting read. This could have well taken place in Olivia......there is a private citizen in particular I am thinking of who could have been the star or inspiration for this story. It's hard for someone who tries to be optimistic to read novels like O'nan's, but something about them (the two I've read recently anyway) really resonates....
