“This is one of the best studies I've done, yet. The wonderful thing is that the Apostle John, one of the 12, is shown for what his gospel tells us about him. He is a tenderhearted man, follower of Jesus, friend of him from when he was a teenager until he is inspired by him in his old age with Revelation. By learning how a loving person sees Jesus, we not only learn more about John, but even more about the Rabbi, friend and Lord he was devoted to. I'd recommend this to anyone who is studying the Bible.”

This time around, I was fortunate to study with a group using the video materials. It really adds a lot to the study experience. But this is a terrific Bible study even if you just do the workbook by yourself. The subject matter is Jesus, of course, but with a unique twist: getting to know the Lord through the eyes of the disciple who Jesus loved, John – one of the “sons of thunder”. John has always been my favorite apostle – probably because I identify with him so well. After doing this study, I feel even more closely associated with John.
Beth Moore takes the student on a fascinating and life-changing journey through the gospel of John, the apostle’s three letters: 1-2-3 John, and the book of Revelation. If possible, do the study with the videos and a group. If not, do the study anyway. Beth Moore is gifted in the area of teaching and inspiring. I am thankful that she has been one of my teachers.”

Beth Moore reads between the lines just enough to make John and his unique relationship with Jesus come alive without "rewriting" the Bible. She also added a lot to my historical knowledge which gave me a whole new understanding of certain events, some of which seemed minor to me before.”

If you can pick this up as a group study you will learn so much more. There is homework for each day of the week but you will really reap the rewards of finishing it. This book cast a whole new light on the one book in the Bible that I felt was so different from the others. Once you understand a little more about the appostle Johns life you will understand his writing style. What a wonderful study!!”
