“I picked up his book after watching the tv series (Lie to Me) based on his work. Not as intriguing as the tv show but still very interesting. ”

As a non-researcher, Ekman has presented the material in digestible layman terms. After reading the book, the reader understands some important emotions and how they are expressed on our faces, in our voice, and in our body, with emphasis being placed on facial expressions. My only complaint is that I wish the book was a bit longer with more pictures of the facial expressions; a minor complaint.
Most importantly, the material is extremely useful. The information can be applied immediately to improve your life and relationships.”
“I love psychology, so I loved this book. He gets very technical, but what he has to say will certainly change the way you look at other people forever! (It also makes me wonder how much my emotions give me away--even when I'm trying to hide my true feelings!)”
